Right now all the world’s spotlights are directed toward Alicia Vikander. If less than four weeks, it’s time for the Oscars, where she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “The Danish Girl”. But in addition to it, she can be seen at this year’s Vanity Fair cover with stars including Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett.
It goes very well for our Swedish star Alicia Vikander. She has been nominated for both the Bafta, the Golden Globes and SAG Awards, of which she won in the past for best supporting actress for her work in “The Danish Girl”. Facing the 88th edition of the Oscars has Vanity Fair made its annual Hollywood number where Alicia Vikander is one of the stars who have shot both on the cover and inside the magazine.
Behind the great images are the famous photographer Annie Leibovitz that place some of the greatest in music – and acting world.
On the cover of this year’s Hollywood number give Vanity Fair place for some of this year’s female Academy Award nominee stars – but also the iconic actresses.
On the cover appears Jennifer Lawrence, Brie Larson, Charlotte Rampling, Cate Blanchett and Saoirse Ronan – all of which have been nominated for best actress at this year’s Academy Awards. Besides them visible even Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Diane Keaton, Viola Davis, Rachel Weisz, Helen Mirren, Jane Fonda and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Last but not least, seen our Swedish most shining star at the moment, Alicia Vikander also on the cover.
Now we hope of course that Alicia Vikander takes home the coveted statuette on February 28 at the Oscars on Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Previously, only five other Swedish actor Oscarnominerats; Lena Olin, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, Ann-Margret and Max von Sydow of which Ingrid Bergman is the only one who has won all three times.
